Authorship is someone who is a writer, created, poet and author. It has became political associated with power, who has power to be a author.
Designer Michael Rock means in his essay that 'The audience being as important as the system'. In this essay he starts his introduction saying whats does authorship means.

Interactive Canvas is one way the designer can communicate with the audience. There's this interesting website moma.org where audience can scroll the mouse over the items and information comes on the screen. Each item is a time liner and in different colors.

Interaction is one way the designer can communicate with the audience interactively without being there. There are natural ways to interact with existing technology such as ipad, imac, phones, apps, games and etc. There's also old ways to interact with old technology with just a click of a finger, we can also interact with things that don't look like technology. We use technology to create art without even noticing. Design informs and interaction creates behaviour. The medium is about behaviour we enable the expression and designing is about creation.
